ExpressVPN Detailed Review 2023

ExpressVPN Detailed Review 2022

ExpressVPN has been a reliable and well-known VPN service provider since its 2009 launch. It consistently manages to stay at the top of the game, even after a decade has passed. But what exactly makes it one of the top VPN providers to ever exist? Let’s take a deep look into its capabilities and performance.

Let’s begin with a quick look at its features.

ExpressVPN Features

ExpressVPN currently exists in 94 countries with well over 3000 servers spread throughout the world. As you can see, it provides many features as a VPN – but how well does it perform overall? In terms of Privacy, Safety, and many other factors? Let’s begin with Privacy.

ExpressVPN – Privacy Review

When talking about VPNs, the first thing that comes to mind is Privacy – aside from accessing blocked content. The whole point of using a VPN is to protect your privacy and stay anonymous – we know that ExpressVPN is good at handling privacy, but is it great at it?

Data Logging

ExpressVPN has a very strict no-logs policy. This means that it does not collect any personal data with the intention to store or sell them. The information that it collects is made clear to you within its privacy policy. Here’s a summed-up version of the data it collects.

  1. The information you used to sign-up. (Billing details and Email Address)
  2. The apps and app versions that you have activated
  3. The day a connection was made (without a specific time)
  4. The server location you connected to (without the IP address allotted to you)
  5. The amount of data transferred in one day

This is the minimal information that is needed to keep the VPN in touch with the customers. Not to mention, you can always purchase a subscription with crypto-currency and a new email – making your personal details completely anonymous to ExpressVPN.

Upon doing some research, I have also found out that the details collected above can also be deleted after your subscription expires – all you have to do is reach out to the customer support team and request it. Though, compared to other VPNs, ExpressVPN barely collects any data.

Here’s what it doesn’t collect.

  1. Your personal IP Address or the IP address allotted to you.
  2. Data on your browsing history (any online activity)
  3. Metadata
  4. DNS Queries (websites that you attempted to connect to)

On top of all of this – ExpressVPN also provides you with the option to deny sharing diagnostic information when you first start it up. This can be easily accessed in the settings (Options>Settings>Help Improve ExpressVPN>Disable).

If you’re a cautious person, you might be doubting the no-log policy. Luckily, there’s no need to be cautious – ExpressVPNs no-logging policy was put to the test in 2017 by the Turkish Government in an assassination investigation. ExpressVPN could not provide any logs for the simple fact that no logs were ever kept.

ExpressVPN Base

ExpressVPN is located in the British Virgin Islands – a country with no data retention laws. This is very important for a VPN service provider as the company has to apply the laws and regulations of the jurisdiction. This means that your privacy matters and there’s nothing that can force ExpressVPN to start data logging.

The BVI is also an autonomous government – which means it is excluded from the 14 Eyes Alliance – of which the United Kingdom is a part. The likeliness of other countries getting their hands on ExpressVPN data is very slim, legally and illegally. Secondly, no data is maintained in the first place. Put simply, ExpressVPN has multiple layers of protection.

And lastly – ExpressVPN is very strict when it comes to protecting the privacy of its customers. This can easily be gathered with their recent action of pulling their servers out of India – because they were asked to start keeping logs due to a new law.

In terms of Privacy, ExpressVPN gets a 10.

ExpressVPN – Security Review

The next most important factor in a VPN is the security it provides. There are multiple encryption methods used by the VPN to ensure your browsing activity is encrypted and protected. Before we get into the encryption that ExpressVPN uses, let’s learn a bit about encryption.

How Does Encryption Work?

Encryption takes plain texts and converts them into ciphers that are made up of random characters. The encrypted text can only be accessed by those with a special key for decryption. Only the authorized parties with the special key have access to the encrypted data. Now let’s look at the encryption ExpressVPN uses.

AES-256 Bit Encryption

The AES encryption was developed in response to the needs of the US Government. Their previous encryption method – the DES – could be broken within just 22 hours. They needed something that could protect top-secret data with the help of encryption.

In came the AES encryption method, which is now officially approved by the NSA for handling top-secret documents. AES is also a symmetric key cipher, meaning the same secret key can be used for both encryption and decryption.

How Secure Is AES-256?

AES-256 is a very secure encryption that is virtually unpenetrable. Here is an excerpt from ExpressVPN’s website.

With a top-notch encryption system like AES-256, your traffic is completely safe when traveling between VPN servers and computers. However, that is not all ExpressVPN has to offer when it comes to security. There’s more.

The encryption key of ExpressVPN changes with every use. This means that even in the “super rare” case that someone has figured out your key – it would be of no use – because your encryption key changes every time you log in.

ExpressVPN Keys

ExpressVPN has also integrated a new system for user password security known as ExpressVPN Keys. It allows you to generate unique and complex passwords that are hard to hack – which are then placed into a secure digital wallet and can be used to log in with a single click.

That’s not all though, your passwords are also encrypted – and you are the only one that possesses the key to decrypt. This means that not even ExpressVPN can access your passwords.

Trusted Server

TrustedServer is ExpressVPN’s in-house security. It is said that all of their VPN servers run on random-access memory (RAM) instead of hard drives. This means that no data is stored on the hard drive. RAM is incapable of storing any data, so every time a computer is shut down, all information on the server vanishes.

The vanished data cannot be recovered. With every reboot of the server, a fresh version of the VPN infrastructure is created. The fresh version will also contain the latest security patches, as ExpressVPN reboots its servers every 1-2 weeks. No other VPN service is as secure or trusted as the TrustedServer.

ExpressVPN was the first in the whole VPN industry to come up with something this secure for their servers. They’re so confident in their TrustedServers that they had even announced a $100,000 bug bounty for anyone who was able to hack their TrustedServers (February 2022).

Network Lock

ExpressVPN’s kill switch is referred to as Network Lock. A kill switch blocks all internet traffic in case your VPN connection is suddenly dropped. This helps keep your data safe in case of any attacks. Network Lock is enabled by default on all platforms, including Android.

Network Lock provides security for all of your online activity. It keeps your passwords, identity, and classified information safe from hackers and other attackers. Whenever your VPN connection drops, Network Lock will prevent your device (or some apps) from accessing the internet till the VPN connection is restored – letting you stay anonymous and safe.

Leak Tests

ExpressVPN also has a team devoted to creating leak tests to ensure that the customer is always protected. These tests are available to the customer and can be used to check if there is a leak of any sort. Currently, here are the types of leaks that the tool can look for.

  1. IP Address leaks
  2. IP Traffic leaks
  3. DNS leaks
  4. WebRTC leaks
  5. BitTorrent leaks
  6. Leaks resulting from unstable internet connections
  7. Leaks resulting from VPN servers being unreachable

All of these leak tests are available for download on GitHub. ExpressVPN also provides online leak tests, even if you do not use VPNs. These tests can be taken by anyone to ensure that they are secure virtually.

P2P File Sharing

ExpressVPN is a great VPN for P2P file sharing. Its SHA-512 HMAC authentication ensures that the files being shared have not been tampered with. The sender and the receiver of the files can verify the authenticity of the files with the help of a secret key.

Both the sender and receiver have a secret key – any change in the secret key would prove that the file has been tampered with by a third party.

Independent Audits

ExpressVPN has had independent audits performed by Cure53, PwC, and F-secure. All of ExpressVPN’s claims on no data logging have been proven by the audits. Not many VPNs have had independent audits performed, this shows that ExpressVPN takes privacy and security seriously.

Here are some changes made post-auditing.

  • Minor issues found by Cure53 were fixed soon after discovery.
  • Several vulnerabilities were found by Cure53 in ExpressVPNs Lightway protocol – which was quite easy to fix.
  • F-secure found low severity and information issues, which were also very easy to fix. They also mentioned that they could not find any of the customer’s data.

In terms of security, ExpressVPN gets a 10.

ExpressVPN – Protocols Review

ExpressVPN also offers multiple protocols for different platforms.

Protocols are a set of rules or instructions that decide how your data routes between your device and the VPN server.

These protocols have unique specifications that offer benefits to the customer. They perform two basic functions – authentication and encryption.

  • Authentication ensures that you are communicating with a trusted VPN server.
  • Encryption makes communication unreadable.

Different instructions and encryption standards can affect the speed and security of the connection. Hence, you can change your protocol servers depending on your needs – you can go for more speed or more security. Here are the protocols offered by ExpressVPN.

Lightway Protocol

Lightway is a protocol designed by ExpressVPN built for maximum security and speed. ExpressVPN was already listed as the fastest VPN by TechRadar, and Tom’s Guide – before the introduction of Lightway. Users have stated that the Lightway protocol has made ExpressVPN even faster.

Currently, no other VPN uses Lightway. Here are some important points about Lightway.

  • Lightway uses wolfSSL – the cryptography of which has been extensively vetted by third parties.
  • wolfSSL also provides military-grade 256 encryption.
  • When the connection drops, Lightway will idle your VPN connection instead of terminating it – which helps you reconnect right away.
  • The core codebase of Lightway is open-sourced – which means ExpressVPN has nothing to hide.
  • Cure53 has conducted an independent assessment of Lightway which can be found here.
  • Lightway only contains around 2000 lines of code which are easy to audit.
  • Lesser lines of code equal faster performance and lesser battery consumption.
  • It is available on Android, iOS, Windows, Mac, Linux, and routers.

OpenVPN

OpenVPN is a highly configurable open-sourced protocol that is widely adopted among consumer VPN services. It is available on all platforms and is one of the protocols viewed very highly by the community. It can easily be configured to mask itself as ordinary internet traffic – which can evade detection by firewalls and filters.

It has also been widely audited, making it a well-trusted VPN protocol. ExpressVPN also offers the option to switch between UDP (User Datagram Protocol) and TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) when using OpenVPN. Here are the major differences between the two.

  • UDP is used for fast data transfer at the expense of reliability whereas TCP is used for reliability over speed.
  • TCP is a connection-oriented protocol – it requires a connection to be established before the data transfer.
  • UDP is a connectionless protocol – it may result in data packet loss or data packets arriving out of sequence.
  • UDP and TCP are now offered for Lightway protocol as well.

L2TP Protocol

The Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol is a step up from older protocols like PPTP and SSTP. This protocol delivers better security at the cost of reduced speed. It is commonly paired with IPsec protocol to deliver AES-256 encryption. This is referred to as L2TP/IPsec.

ExpressVPN does not recommend this protocol as it is sometimes blocked by the firewall, and is slower than OpenVPN. However, it is still available for use as it is suited for anonymity. The protocols can be switched manually depending on the user’s needs.

IKEv2 Protocol

The Internet Key Exchange Version 2 protocol is a newer protocol with significant strengths. It performs well in speed and is most suited for mobile users across all platforms. However, the IKEv2 protocol does not offer native support for Linux. It also lacks reconfigurability.

IKEv2 is also very hard to audit due to its strict licensing terms, but ExpressVPN uses an open-sourced implementation of the IKEv2 to ensure the integrity of the protocol. In general, the IKEv2 protocol is a popular choice that will sometimes be used by ExpressVPNs automatic protocol selection.

ExpressVPN also offers an automatic protocol selection option – it will automatically pick the best-suited protocol for your network.

ExpressVPN – Server Network Review

ExpressVPN has 3000+ servers across 94 countries throughout the world. With all these server options, finding one that is faster and more stable than the rest is not that hard. The servers also support a high load, and you can view the percentage of the people currently on the server.

The further the server is, the more the speed will drop – so keep that in mind before virtually traveling the world. There won’t be an issue finding nearby servers, as there are way too many.

Virtual Servers

ExpressVPN also provides virtual servers for countries that are not very VPN-friendly. For example, you can connect to virtual servers in India, Hong Kong, Venezuela, and Turkey. Virtual servers may affect speed, but they allow you to access the content you’re using a VPN for.

For example, here’s what happens when you connect to the Slovenkia servers.

  • Your traffic is routed through the Netherlands.
  • You get assigned a Slovenian IP Address.
  • Your traffic appears to come from Slovenia despite zero physical connection to Slovenia.
  • You can now access geo-blocked Slovenian content.

That’s not all though, ExpressVPN also provides city-level servers.

City-Level Servers

City-level servers are available in 16 countries, including the US, UK, Australia, and Brazil. This helps you connect to servers that are located in a specific city rather than within a country. For example, when you connect to a country-level server, you do not exactly know where that server is located.

All you know is that it lies within the country – it could be a hundred miles away. On the other hand, using a city-level server will ensure that you get a speedy VPN connection – as you can select the city nearest to you within the country you intend to use the VPN.

Stealth Technology

Every VPN server that ExpressVPN provides uses the “obfuscation” technology. This means that nobody can know that your traffic is actually going through VPN servers. With these servers, even deep packet inspection won’t reveal that you are using a VPN.

This obfuscation/stealth technology is not always running, but it activates when it detects deep packet inspection. Let’s also not forget that ExpressVPN has Trusted Servers.

Shared IP Addresses

ExpressVPN does not offer dedicated IP addresses (your IP address stays the same on your account) but it does offer Shared IP addresses. This means that you are given a different IP address every time you connect. The IP address that you get assigned is also used by many other users at the same time.

This makes browsing a safer experience as nothing can get traced back to you. Shared IP addresses are also excellent for torrenting, as your P2P traffic can get lost among the users your IP address is shared with.

Smart Location

ExpressVPN offers the Smart Location feature where a VPN server is automatically selected for you. The VPN server will be stable, secure, and fast. The server is selected based on its location, latency, and speed. This helps save time when looking for a server in countries.

However, you may also be able to find a faster server with a little bit of trial and error. Smart location is helpful if you’re in a country where VPN is regulated – you can find the closest server that provides the fastest speed with low latency.

In terms of Server Networks, ExpressVPN gets a 10.

ExpressVPN – Speed Review

ExpressVPN is one of the fastest VPN service providers out there. Most VPN servers may cause you to lag or buffer videos when streaming, but ExpressVPN has got that covered with its Lightway protocol. Even in general, the VPN speeds of ExpressVPN are greater than any other VPN.

Let’s take a quick look at the differences in speed when compared to my normal speed (297Mbps) and the recommended servers.

In the top-recommended servers, the speed does not ever drop below 200Mbps – which is more than enough to stream UltraHD without buffering. These tests were taken based on the recommended server list for my location – back to back – during the daytime.

  • The speed only dropped by 16% (48Mbps) (On a distant server – Netherlands – 7000+kms away). The speed loss would have been below 2% if I was connected to a local server.
  • The maximum loss of speed was 29% (87Mbps).
  • No disconnections occurred throughout the tests.
  • No buffering/lag was experienced when surfing Youtube.
  • No other issues were experienced despite the high pings.

Daily Use

ExpressVPN provides great speeds for daily use. No lagging or buffering was experienced while surfing youtube, pages loaded up at good speeds, and no disconnects occurred. However, the speed of the VPN servers highly depends on your speeds without a VPN as well.

We do not recommend using a VPN for demanding tasks like gaming or streaming if you have a low connection speed (without VPN).

In-built Speed Tests

ExpressVPN also offers in-built speed tests where you can test the speeds of all recommended servers at once. This only works when you are not connected to the VPN. Using the in-built speed test can save you the hassle of jumping from server to server and manually checking your speeds.

In terms of Speed, ExpressVPN gets a 10.

ExpressVPN – Streaming Review

Now that we’re up to speed, let’s find out how ExpressVPN performs in the streaming aspect. The streaming aspect is concerned with bypassing geo-blocks and buffer-less streaming.

One of the benefits of using ExpressVPN is that it can bypass geo-blocks on many platforms, giving you access to content that you normally would not be able to view. Not to mention, the content will be streamed without buffering, thanks to the speed of ExpressVPN servers. Here’s a list of platforms that ExpressVPN works on.

[pls insert an image with logos of the platforms instead of a table with text in it]

With the major platforms listed above being easily unblocked by ExpressVPN, there’s not much that geo-blocking can keep from you.

For example, you can unblock up to 22 Netflix libraries regardless of wherever you are. The only downside is that the libraries (countries) located the farthest may take up to 10 seconds to start. Once started, they can be streamed at a pretty good speed without excessive buffering.

A great streaming experience can be enjoyed with the help of ExpressVPN on – Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime, Hulu, Crunchyroll, HBO MAX, Kodi, and many more. Despite the VPN blocks of these platforms, ExpressVPN is still able to break through and function.

Smart DNS

ExpressVPN also provides a Smart DNS called MediaStreamer. It helps you unblock geo-restriction movies and shows when you are on a device that does not support VPNs. It also helps your streaming quality by giving you faster speeds. However, it cannot encrypt your connection as the full ExpressVPN application does.

ExpressVPN also unblocks other platforms like Crunchyroll, social media websites, and ESPN+. It pretty much unblocks everything that is geo-blocked or blocked for whatever reason. The surprising part is not that it can unblock so many things, but that it maintains its fast streaming speeds to let you access the unblocked content – in HD.

In terms of Streaming, ExpressVPN gets a 10.

ExpressVPN – Torrenting Review

ExpressVPN also allows torrenting and provides P2P support on every server. This is good as most VPNs only provide P2P support on specific servers. Put simply, this means that you can use the fastest server around you to download and torrent at high speeds.

(can include pictures of torrenting logos that are supported)

ExpressVPN works with BitTorrent, uTorrent, Vuze, Deluge, Transmission, and other major torrenting platforms. It works with Kodi as well, allowing you to unblock it and access P2P streaming websites. The speed at which you can torrent is surprising.

Hacksaw Ridge (Blu-Ray) (6GB in 24 minutes) (With 12 connected peers)

I tried downloading Hacksaw Ridge – the blue ray version that’s more than 6GB. I received speeds of 4-6mbps which was very stable in the range – despite the torrent having 12 connected peers. This was completely unexpected.

While ExpressVPN may not provide features like port forwarding or SOCKS5 proxy which speeds up torrenting, the speed provided is still more than enough. Not to mention, the inbuilt features of ExpressVPN like the Kill switch and leak protection keep you secure and anonymous when torrenting.

In terms of Torrenting, ExpressVPN gets a 10.

ExpressVPN – Advanced Features Review

We have already discussed most of the features throughout this review, but there are some features that we left for this part of the review.

Split-tunneling

ExpressVPN also provides split tunneling. It is a feature that allows you to exclude applications from using the VPN – meaning you can turn your VPN on but it won’t work on the apps that you have included. There are two options for using this feature.

  • Exclude – If you want only Chrome to connect through the VPN, you can exclude all other applications – only chrome will pass through the VPN tunnel.
  • Allow – Using this option means that the VPN will not be connected to any applications unless you allow the applications. For eg, you can select uTorrent so only uTorrent will be able to use the VPN connection.

Split tunneling also helps conserve your bandwidth while increasing your connection speeds – as fewer applications are using the VPN connection.

Private DNS

ExpressVPN protects your internet traffic and DNS queries by running its own private and encrypted DNS on every VPN server. Most VPNs protect your internet traffic and not your DNS requests. But if you use ExpressVPN, your DNS requests are handled entirely by the application.

Does this mean that ExpressVPN has your DNS queries? Nope. ExpressVPN does not keep any logs at all and prevents all third parties from keeping an eye on your DNS requests as well. Here are some more benefits of using Private DNS.

  • No third parties can access or observe your DNS queries.
  • No activity logs are stored.
  • Your DNS requests travel only through ExpressVPN’s tunnel – which may make your response time faster.
  • Your DNS requests are also protected by 256-bit encryption, just like your internet traffic.
  • DNS cannot be hijacked as it is traveling through a secure, encrypted tunnel with automatic authentication.
  • DNS cannot be blocked as ExpressVPN does not limit your freedom to access websites and services.

Threat Manager

ExpressVPN also offers a Threat Manager that prevents any part of your device from communicating with blocklisted servers. These servers are known to be malicious and may indulge in tracking. The blocklist is updated regularly and prevents your data from being leaked.

Your data is generally leaked when you access a website or service. This is because some websites track and record your activity and share/sell it to third parties that will hit you with targeted advertisements for a while. Threat manager protects you from such websites and services by preventing communication with third parties.

All in all, Express VPN has done everything to ensure that customers get the best speeds, security, and privacy.

ExpressVPN – Pricing Review

and here’s the pricing of ExpressVPN.

There are three different subscription plans provided by ExpressVPN. The one-month plan may be a bit expensive compared to other VPNs, but the pricing of the other two plans seems pretty fair. You will have to pay up-front for the 12 months and 6 months plans – but it will still be cheaper than what you may pay for other VPNs.

Not to mention, you’re getting 3 months free on the 12-month plan with a 49% discount. You’d normally have to pay roughly $150 for 12 months – but you can avail the plan for just $99.95. There’s also a 30-day money-back guarantee on all plans, which means you can get a refund with no questions asked.

Payment Methods

ExpressVPN provides a variety of payment methods – Visa, MasterCard, Paypal, Qiwi Wallet, Maestro, and even Bitcoin. Using cryptocurrency to pay for ExpressVPN will make you entirely anonymous if you also use a new email.

TIP for iPhone Folks – Apple Store may not uphold the 30-day money-back guarantee. Purchasing ExpressVPN from their official website will ensure that you get a 30-day refund policy. You can download the application and log in after.

While the pricing may seem a bit expensive to some, we can’t really deny that ExpressVPN provides only the best services – and that is the reason why it’s still a VPN giant a decade after its appearance. No other VPN can provide the security and speed that ExpressVPN offers.

In terms of Pricing, ExpressVPN gets a 9.

ExpressVPN – Compatibility Review

ExpressVPN offers its services throughout all major platforms. While all of them have a nice graphical user interface, the Linux version can only be operated by text. However, all ExpressVPN applications are very easy to install and use. Here’s a list of the platforms supported.

  • Browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Edge
  • OS: Windows, Mac, Linux
  • Gaming Platforms: PlayStation, XBOX, Nintendo Switch
  • Streaming: FireStick, Samsung Smart TVs, Android TV, Chromecast, Apple TVs, Roku, Nvidia Shield

While all ExpressVPN applications may look the same on different platforms, some platforms have differences in features. For example, Kill Switch and Split Tunneling is not available on iOS devices. Here’s a table with features and their device compatibility.

{replace y w checkmarks and x with cross marks)

WindowsMacAndroidiOSLinuxRouters
Graphical User Interface (GUI)
Kill Switch
Split Tunneling
IKEv2

While the lack of a kill switch or split tunneling on iOS is unfortunate, this is common for most VPNs on iOS. ExpressVPN has made sure to maintain a balance in all of its devices and platforms. iOS users get two additional features that Android users don’t get- Threat Manager and Parallel Connections.

This shows that other devices don’t get left behind when it comes to ExpressVPN. It gets a 10 in terms of compatibility.

Conclusion

ExpressVPN is currently one of the best VPNs available on the market. Its speed and security are unrivaled by any other VPN out there. There’s not a single VPN out there with as many features as ExpressVPN, and there’s no VPN out there that just puts everything out there in the open.

We already know that ExpressVPN does not store any logs. Their Trusted Servers make browsing safer, and they have been independently audited by professionals. There are no worries when it comes to the safety and privacy that are offered.

In terms of torrenting and streaming, we already have the speed test results. The VPN works very smoothly while also providing high speeds for torrenting or streaming in HD. It’s also almost as if geo-blocking simply does not exist.

Let’s not forget the features as well – kill switch, split tunneling, and private DNS provide unrivaled security and speed. With so many features available in a single application, there’s no reason to go anywhere else. ExpressVPN has got it all – privacy, security, speed, platform support, customer satisfaction, and so much more.

FAQs

Is ExpressVPN worth the pricing?

Yes. ExpressVPN is definitely worth its price. For all the features it offers, it may as well be a bargain. Its competitor – NordVPN offers a yearly subscription for one year at $5/month as an introductory offer. But once the offer ends, the price changes to over $8/month – which is more expensive than ExpressVPN. Not to mention, Trusted Servers don’t exist in NordVPN.

Will I get in trouble for torrenting with ExpressVPN?

We do not encourage torrenting. Depending on the country you’re in, downloading copyrighted content could be anywhere from a fine to prison time. However, since your network traffic is hidden and your digital trail does not exist – the only way you get caught is if you turn yourself in.

Does ExpressVPN slow my internet?

Any VPN will slow your internet, but ExpressVPN is built different. There’s not much of a speed loss, and if there is – it will probably be below 2% on a local server. ExpressVPNs Lightway protocol ensures that you get the fastest possible speed on any server.

How hard is getting a refund?

Getting a refund is only possible within the first 30 days of purchasing the plan. That’s the only prerequisite. The only thing you need to do is contact customer service for cancellation and refund – you do not have to state any reason even if asked (highly unlikely).

What is the point of having Virtual Servers?

Connecting to a server in the Netherlands will make the “digital” you appear as if you are in the Netherlands. This means that you will be able to access all of the Netherlands’ content that is banned in other countries. Virtual servers are there for the same reason – to appear in a different country with a new identity virtually.

How Secure is ExpressVPN?

ExpressVPN is very secure. Here are some features that help keep it secure.
1. No Data Logging
2. Trusted Servers
3. Private DNS
4. Kill Switch
5. AES-256 Encryption
6. Shared IP Addresses
7. Stealth Technology
8. Threat Manager
9. ExpressVPN Keys
10. Independently Audited
